The C1000 S High-Performance Small Diaphragm Condenser Microphone from AKG is suitable for studio, stage, ENG/EFP, and video production applications. It features a gold-sputtered capsule, a bass-cut switch, and a switchable 10 dB preattenuation pad. The microphone's polar pattern can be switched between cardioid and hypercardioid, and an included presence boost adapter provides three frequency response settings for different sound sources. If no phantom power is available, the C1000 S can be powered by two standard AA batteries for up to 120 hours. There is a durable construction for protection against humidity, and an included microphone bag, mic stand adapter, and windscreen.
